Little KemZi grew up as the firstborn in a Nigerian home (think: high standards and responsibility set from the start).

I loved learning new skills and starting businesses. But I went through experiences that left me feeling less than worthy (sometimes, less than human) and pursuing whatever would get me the validation I needed to feel safe.

I’d already started a cake business when one day at a women’s society event in our Church, they unexpectedly called me up to make my business “official.” This may have been the first time I considered that my work could be more than a paid hobby and I wanted to feel like that every day.

I wanted to live life as a successful business owner who did work that meant something to people. 

Now, God was leading me to take my entrepreneurial calling seriously, but there was A LOT of work to be done in this little girl’s heart, an engineering degree I was supposed to be working towards, and hard choices I didn’t know were coming.

I couldn’t reconcile this entrepreneurial calling with who I believed I was at the time. It just didn’t seem possible.

BUT GOD!

While I was building my cake business, God started teaching me something simple, but life-changing:
to see myself as the woman He made, instead of the woman who could list every reason she felt unworthy.

I was scared.

I wasn’t professionally trained in cake decorating or marketing. And I second guessed myself at every turn.

But, I made the choice to shift my perspective from who I was to who I could be. And as my identity began to change, so did how I showed up. Your girl quickly became fully booked!

I raised my prices, said yes to opportunities that were once too good for me, and learned to market my work because I finally had the confidence to speak well of it.

Yet, this wasn’t where God was bringing me…

This whole journey had been transformational. 

It reached a new height when I spent time with other entrepreneurs and discovered that what fulfills me most wasn’t just building businesses; it was helping others form the God-given identity that allows them to pursue their callings without shrinking.

The problem? I was still sidelining my purpose and pursuing the impressive (and safe) engineering degree that was my initial plan… until…

The pandemic happened.

My bout with covid and pneumonia was a near-death experience that woke me up to a truth that couldn’t be ignored anymore:
life is too short not to spend every moment making the deepest impact possible.

I left my engineering degree and finally went all in on entrepreneurship and coaching.

Today, my work helps women uncover the roots of their second guessing so they build trust in their God-given authority and take decisive action to achieve BIG business goals with peace of mind.
